Each week we warm up with a run of speed drawings. Each week confidence is growing. The variety of line and tone is increasing. Progression can remarkable even in the same session between the first speed drawing when the mind-eye-muscle is cold, to the last where everything is warmed up and fluid. Speed drawing by its very nature produces a very intuitive response and image and each one is different in some way. An exciting way to start a lesson for sure! Homework Projects
Enthusiasm in the group is already very high and there are lots of drawings being made at home. This selection shows the group is getting to grips nicely with composition using the rule of thirds. There can also be seen developing skills in tone and with light. We can see that confidence with line is growing rapidly. Above all else, there is wonderful individuality in the work.
