Using the head as a unit of measure, we can count the number of heads that the standing figure consists of from head to toe.
We use the sight measure technique where we hold the pencil in front of us, with a straight arm, and with one eye kept closed, we slide the thumb up and down the pencil to get the measure by sight as shown:
